Planting season: Planting season is from December 15 to March 15.

Description: The Mississippi Forestry Commission is charged with managing state forests and public school trust timberlands. We plant trees to increase and restore ecological conditions after natural disasters or managed harvest. Our project focus is sustained yield and forest health for future generations.
